IOWA COURT REPORTERS ASSOCIATION |
Originally from Tipton, Iowa, I graduated from AIB College of Business in January of 2005. I started my career in Springfield, Missouri, as a freelance reporter for Alpha Reporting Service. I remained with them until August of 2012 when my husband and I moved back to Iowa to be closer to family. Ten years after starting at AIB as a student, I had the privilege to return to AIB's campus as a CART provider to a hard-of-hearing student. I attended classes with him and provided individual realtime to him until September of 2014. I was then hired by the Fifth Judicial District as the court reporter for the Honorable Rachael E. Seymour in Polk County Juvenile Court. In June of 2017, I moved to District Court with Chief Judge Michael D. Huppert in Polk County.
My husband and I were married in September of 2005 and welcomed our son, Samuel, in April of 2014 and our daughter, Natalie, in September of 2016. We love being outdoors, and campfires are a staple in our backyard throughout the warm months. We bought a house in Dallas Center in January of 2014 and are enjoying living in a small town.
I have loved my time on the board as Treasurer and look forward to continuing my time on the ICRA Board as Vice President!
