Megan Sankey, CSR, RMR, CRR   

I grew up in St Mary’s, Iowa, and graduated from AIB College of Business in 2006. Back in my early years jobs in Iowa were hard to come by, so upon graduation I was hired by the Honorable Gregory Schatz in Omaha, Nebraska. While I loved the fast paced environment and really enjoyed all the experience I gained as a young reporter, I knew I always wanted to work in Iowa. 

In 2008 I was hired by the Honorable John Duffy in the Third Juducial District, and after his retirement was hired by the Honorable Carl Petersen who I still work for today.

I always joked that I had never planned to remain in Northwest Iowa long-term, but in 2010 I met my husband - three days after he started his job with the Buena Vista County Sheriffs Office, and we got married in 2014. We have two beautiful girls, Marleigh, 2 and Emmalyn, 6 months, who keep us very busy. We live on an acreage outside of Alta.

When we’re not working, we are usually found outside or spending time visiting friends and family.  

I would like to take a moment to thank my wonderful co-worker, Kara Holland, for the friendly “nudge” to serve on the board, and I look forward to this opportunity :)
