IOWA COURT REPORTERS ASSOCIATION |
I am a graduate of Fairfield High School and AIB College of Business (’05). I have worked for the Judicial Branch as an official reporter since June of 2005. My first 12 years were spent in southeast Iowa working in District 8A. In the fall of 2017, my husband accepted a job in West Des Moines, and our family made the move to Polk County, where I began working in Juvenile Court. I enjoy working in a busy county with several reporters in my building to collaborate and have lunch with! I’ve been married to my husband, Kaley, since October of
2007, and we have a 7-year-old daughter and a 9-month-old son. We haven’t found much free time lately, but when we have it (and have a babysitter!) we enjoy golfing or being out on the motorcycle. My current hobbies include shopping for baby clothes, changing diapers, and the occasional driveway drink with the neighbors.
I served on the ICRA Board as an official director back in 2006ish. I enjoyed my time on the Board and loved getting to meet reporters from across the state. I’m nervous but excited to be back and on the leadership track, and I will do my best to represent the wonderful reporters we have in this state. Please reach out to me at any time if I
can be of assistance. We have a hard-working Board that has been doing a great job of leading this organization, and I’m looking forward to joining them.
