IOWA COURT REPORTERS ASSOCIATION

Tamara Geffe, CSR, RPR, FCRR

Originally from southwest Iowa, I attended the court reporting program atAIB after making a quick detour to Iowa State University. Following my graduation from AIB in 2007, I moved to Kansas City to work as a freelance reporter with Jay Suddreth & Associates. After two years in Kansas City, I accepted a position back in Des Moines with Huney-Vaughn and continued to freelance for five more years. In 2013, I began as an official reporter in Polk County, and I just celebrated my 12th Anniversary here.

I live in Waukee with my husband, Jeremiah, our four kids – Kieran, fifteen; Emery, thirteen; Carter, nine; Charlotte, four – and our miniature Bernadoodle, Ollie, two. They keep us extremely busy by being in as many sports and activities as possible. You can usually find me at swim meets, marching band competitions, girls wrestling meets, soccer tournaments, or dance recitals.  I’m excited to add “ICRA Board” to my list of things keeping me busy, and I look forward to serving the members of our amazing profession.
